The WNBA’s Las Vegas Aces are one of the sports league’s most successful franchises. They’re the reigning back-to-back WNBA Champions and have one of the best rosters in the league. On Wednesday, they made news as the WNBA season tips off.
The Aces changed their logo! In a not-so-mysterious change, they shifted from a red, black, and gold look to a silver and black look.
The popular SportsLogos.Net posted the news of the change, and showed the obvious differences between the two logos.
The WNBA's Las Vegas Aces have changed their colour scheme to match the NFL's Raiders, going from black/gold/red to a simple black/silver.

Owner Mark Davis also, of course, owns the Las Vegas Raiders, who’ve been known for the silver and black combo since the franchise’s inception decades ago. So this touch of synergy doesn’t come as a surprise. The previous color scheme obviously made sense with the Las Vegas theme. But, now that’s in the past.
Much was made earlier this week over the logo concept art of the newest WNBA franchise: the Golden State Valkyries.

Nonetheless, there were plenty who had much to say about the Aces’ new logo. Many were not thrilled, however, by the logo change.
Why would they make their logo worse after winning titles with that logo. https://t.co/liD6E7haOY

Not a fan. 1) Stay true to your brand. 2) The latter looks better. 3) Women’s sports need to be separating themselves, not falling in line with the men. https://t.co/rP3IMsqa8D
