The Caitlin Clark and Angel Reese rivalry heated up again when the pair faced each other Sunday with Clark’s Indiana Fever defeating Reese’s Chicago Sky, 91-83.
The focus for many wasn’t on the game but the continued rivalry between the pair which drew most of the audience in. It definitely wasn’t the play of the two teams involved according to ESPN Andraya Carter.
“I enjoy watching these two trying to have success in the W. But if we’re being completely honest, their teams are having a mid-off right now. Their teams are just very mid. They’re 8th and 9th in the WNBA standings,” she said.

It was a good game, however, neither team is very good and the better matchup might have been the Las Vegas Aces and Connecticut Sun facing each other as they are two of the best teams in the league right now.
They will face each other later this week. But the Reese and Clark rivalry has also brought out a lot of ugliness from fans who took plenty of shots at Reese because of a flagrant foul called against her when she hit Clark.
A lot of the remarks about Reese were racist and even though both players blew off the call, it still was a major headline Sunday.
Caitlin Clark and Angel Reese are being used in a race war that is not fair to either athlete or the game of basketball.

Not to be hyperbolic, but the way media is continuing to go down this road is very dangerous for Angel Reese. It’s time to put the brakes on this. We’ve seen the type of people congregating around Caitlin Clark. What media outlets are doing for ratings is a dangerous game. https://t.co/jpYXz0w5Ti
