The Buffalo Bills edged the New York Giants in a dramatic Sunday night thriller. Buffalo won 14-9 over the Giants in a game that came down to the final play. A pivotal reason why the Bills won once again was the play of wide receiver Stefon Diggs.

Diggs was all over the field on Sunday against the Giants. The multi-time Pro Bowl receiver showed off the route tree as he ran eight different routes against the G-Men, according to Next Gen Stats.

Furthermore, according to Next Gen Stats, “Diggs was targeted on 53.3 percent of his routes, the highest target rate in a game this season (min. 20 routes.” You didn’t need anyone to tell you that Pro Bowl quarterback Josh Allen loves throwing to Diggs. But, last night, he really enjoyed doing that, throwing him the ball persistently en route to victory.

Diggs picked up 10 receptions for 100 yards, and while he failed to find the end zone, he still made a significant contribution. It’s why he remains one of the best wide receivers in the NFL. Since he arrived in Buffalo, the Bills have gotten better, and he’s played at an elite level. He’s recorded at least 1,200 yards in each season with the Bills and already has 620 yards through six games in 2023. So he’s well on his way to doing it again.

The NFL world had plenty to say about the Bills and Stefon Diggs’ big night.
