Pete Crow-Armstrong home run Cubs Credit: Marquee Sports Network

The Chicago Cubs got a heroic boost from their top Minor League prospect on Thursday! Stud outfielder Pete Crow-Armstrong, the team’s top prospect, gave the Cubs and their fans something to cheer and remember on Thursday afternoon.

On what might be a humongous sports day for the city of Chicago, Crow-Armstrong put his own stamp on the day. The exciting outfielder gave one a ride as he hit his first career home run!

The Comeback was among those to tout PCA’s first big league blast.

The go-ahead home run off PCA’s bat skyrocketed 396 feet into the seats at Wrigley Field. He’ll hope to deposit more baseballs in those seats in his big league career.

The home run certainly came at a fantastic time for the Cubs, who got to celebrate taking the lead late in the game. Chicago continued on that way and eventually won the game 3-1. Miguel Amaya later tacked on an insurance run to protect the Cubs’ lead over the struggling Houston Astros.

PCA’s first career home run will be remembered for quite some time if he pans out as the prospect many believe he will be. Scouts have raved about him for years, and while he looked like a rookie for a bit, all it takes sometimes is one swing.

The MLB world buzzed after Pete Crow-Armstrong’s first career home run.
