Joe Flacco Kirby Lee-USA TODAY Sports

Veteran quarterback Joe Flacco wants to stay around the NFL for another season. It appears he is certain about where he’d prefer it be.

Flacco appeared on SiriusXM NFL Radio this week and attempted to clear the air on the rumor mill. Pro Football Talk said that his first choice is the Cleveland Browns. Flacco didn’t deny this.

“I can tell you that, all things equal, Cleveland is definitely the place where I’d feel best about,” the former Super Bowl Champion said via PFT. “Now, then you have to get into the world of, is someone going to give me a chance to play? And all the different things that go into that. But I can’t help bu thave a special feeling about Cleveland,” he added.

Flacco joined the Browns last season while the team dealt with a string of injury issues. They played numerous quarterbacks during the season, including Deshaun Watson and P.J. Walker, among others, including Flacco. He helped bring the team to the NFL Playoffs, but the Houston Texans unceremoniously bounced them. Flacco also played himself into winning the NFL Comeback Player of the Year award for his 2023 contributions.

We might be long removed from his “ELITE” days, but Flacco doesn’t sound like someone who wants to give it all up yet. The NFL world had much to say.
