Mets Phillies Credit: MLB Walk-Offs

While everyone was busy reacting to the incredible finish to the Mets-Phillies game on Sunday, those in Great Britain were arguably having an even better time. British announcer Darren Fletcher went viral with his epic call of the game’s final moments.

The Mets won the game off a rare 2-3 double play turned by Mets catcher Luis Torrens and first baseman Pete Alonso. ESPN’s Michael Kay and Doug Glanville had command in America, but elsewhere on TNT Sports, it was Fletcher who had control of the mic.

Fletcher didn’t disappoint his listeners. Courtesy of MLB Clutch Moments and Walk-Offs, here’s the clip that’s got the entire MLB world talking:

Fletcher’s enthusiasm was certainly on display in the game’s final moments. The call earned Fletcher a lot of praise and a lot of positive comments online by people from people who caught wind of it.
