The Oklahoma Sooners softball team ranks as the best in the nation. The Sooners proved exactly why yet again on Tuesday afternoon as they celebrated their way into the Women’s College World Series Championship Series.
OU did it in grand style as Jayda Coleman mashed a walk-off home run to win it. Oklahoma’s trouncing of the rest of the nation will continue on for at least another round.
Coleman’s electric home run brought the crowd in OKC to its feet.

Coleman’s memorable home run will see her finish her college softball career fighting for another championship. OU has won the last three Women’s College World Series championships. They’ll seek an unprecedented four-peat, and to do it, they’re going to face a familiar foe. Oklahoma will play Texas, their Red River rivals, in the Championship Series. It’s fitting in a way. The two programs will exit the Big 12 for the SEC this fall. So this will mark the last time they do battle as Big 12 opponents. Of course it’s for a championship.
The sports world was buzzing over Oklahoma’s epic walk-off home run.
JAYDA COLEMAN. WALK OFF. OKLAHOMA SURVIVES.

Jayda Coleman also would have caught the home run ball she hit.

Jayda Coleman was built for a moment like that.

Absolutely incredible moment. In what she thought might’ve been her last at bat, she swung at the first pitch and slammed her bat in frustration. Her teammates come up clutch and get her one more chance.
And then she walks it off.
Jayda Coleman is the truth.
