Packers Aaron Jones Raj Mehta-USA TODAY Sports

The Green Bay Packers learned of incredible news on an injured star player. Ahead of their game against the Denver Broncos, the Packer announced that running back Aaron Jones has been activated for the game.

The Packers’ announcement on Jones’ status came on X, the site formerly known as Twitter.

“RB Aaron Jones is ACTIVE for Week 7,” the team announced.

Jones hasn’t seen the field since all the way back in Week 2. He played against the Bears and scored two touchdowns, and had just nine carries for 41 yards and two receptions for 86 yards. But a nagging hamstring injury sidelined the star running back and he’s missed every game since.

But that will not be the case for the Packers in Week 7. Jones will join Green Bay in their game vs. the lowly Denver Broncos. The Broncos haven’t played particularly well at all this season, and even that might be under-selling it. While Green Bay has struggled a bit themselves, there are some different levels to struggling, and they’ve nowhere near been as bad as Denver.

Needless to say, though, having a player of Jones’ caliber in the lineup can only benefit Green Bay. We’ll see what Jones has in him for the game against the Broncos.

These two teams met back in Super Bowl 32, their most high-profile matchup.
