The Baltimore Ravens sent a heck of a message to the NFL when they signed multi-time leading rusher Derrick Herny this offseason.
If you want to try and stop the run? Good luck.
With training camp underway, the NFL season draws nearer. Ahead of all the fun, Ravens star Mark Andrews commented on the team’s exciting new backfield.
“It’s incredible, man,” Andrews said via NFL.com. Andrews fawned over Henry and described how playing against him for the last seven years felt. He said he knew all the attributes he has, and now that he’s on the team? The possibilities are endless, and all the attention will be squarely on them.
“It’s going to be all eyes on him and (No.) 8,” Andrews said.
The Ravens seek their third Super Bowl championship in franchise history. Baltimore won its first in the 2000-01 NFL season on the back of one of the greatest defenses of all time. Twelve years later, the Ravens won their second Super Bowl title by going on a shocking run through the playoffs. Since then, the Ravens haven’t gotten back but have come awful close.
With their roster, Baltimore should compete again and be contenders this season. Lamar Jackson will have pressure on him to deliver, but with how things look, he won’t be the only one to have to handle it.
