Ahead of last season’s NBA trade deadline, reports indicated the Los Angeles Lakers were approached by the Golden State Warriors about the possibility of a LeBron James trade.

That didn’t come to fruition, but it had us thinking. Could you imagine, LeBron James and Steph Curry on one team?

So, what went down there? Well, who better to ask than his agent Rich Paul?

He wasn’t going to say much.

“Man, I’m not even paying attention to that first [part],” Paul said on the latest episode of  7PM in Brooklyn, a Wave Sports + Entertainment Original. “We’re not even going to have that conversation.”

Reports said it was ultimately LeBron’s decision. He didn’t want to leave the Lakers and according to NBA insider Marc Stein, Paul was opposed to having the future Hall of Famer switching from Southern California to Northern California.

While he didn’t say much about potentially pairing up in the NBA, LeBron has commented on his time being a teammate with Curry during the Olympics.

“It was everything and more,” he said after practice on Monday. “I was super excited to be able to finally team up with him in a win-or-die type atmosphere. That’s what it was, being a part of the Olympics. It was everything that I dreamed of and aspired to want to be a part of that team, along with Steph. Great memories. Something that I’ll remember from my basketball career for the rest of my life, for sure.”

Paul did talk about the long road and friendship he has with LeBron James, however.

” … our relationship has evolved a ton from someone who gave me an opportunity just in general, to someone who believed that I actually could represent them,” Paul said. “I didn’t start representing him [LeBron] until his ninth year in the league, to business partners. He supported me in everything I do, and think about it, I’ve gone against the grain in certain things, but the support is still there because he knows the entrepreneur at heart.”
