It’s no real secret that Taylor Swift provided quite a ratings boost to the NFL this season after she began dating Kansas City Chiefs star tight end Travis Kelce and attending Chiefs’ games in support of her new boyfriend. Swift attended 13 games in total, including Super Bowl LVIII. And her mere presence at the last game brought in an insane amount of money.

An external business consultant for the NFL recently told The Sun that Taylor Swift helped generate a massive amount of money by simply showing up to the Super Bowl LVIII showdown between the Kansas City Chiefs and the San Francisco 49ers in Las Vegas.

“The ads could reach a cost of $8.5 million each, an increase of $1 million, or more,” the consultant told The Sun. “This year, it has been estimated that her presence helped generate a lot of money, estimated between $700-750 million.”

And that was just by showing up to the game. If Swift were to perform the halftime show at the Super Bowl, that total would nearly double.

“If she is the main artist of next year’s halftime show, it’s expected to generate more than $1.3-1.5 billion,” the consultant said.

This is obviously some pretty insane news about just how valuable Swift is to the NFL, and it led to a lot of reactions on social media.

It’s clear that the NFL is enjoying the benefits of Swift’s sudden interest in the league.
