The Tennessee Titans emerged as losers against the Houston Texans. It was a particularly humiliating defeat for Tennessee, as the Titans wore their throwback Houston Oilers jerseys against the Texans. But, they wound up losing, and it looked like they might also lose their rookie quarterback too.
Will Levis went down with an injury in the waning moments of the game. It appeared like a bad injury, but after the game, Levis assured everyone that he was doing fine.
Pro Football Talk wrote on Levis’ status after the game. They wrote, “Levis, who was sacked and bent backward in a pile, said he initially feared he had suffered a major injury but felt OK afterward and doesn’t think it’s anything serious.
“‘I thought it was worse, how I got rolled up on, but we’ll see how it feels tomorrow,’ Levis said. ‘Could have been a lot worse but I think I’ll be alright.'”
That definitely reads like someone confident and sure of his body. The sack that brought Levis down and made him fear that serious injury did look gruesome initially. But, in any event, he’s doing just fine.
Levis and the Titans won’t make the NFL Playoffs this year but will just be looking to finish with their heads high. We’ll see how things shake out for the rookie the rest of the way.
