It should come as no surprise that Donald Trump has yet again made news with something that he has said. This time around, it happens to be his stance that he believes that there should be a, “total and complete shutdown of Muslims entering the United States.”

Those comments have not sat well with those in the Arab world, where Trump has his own golf club that is developed by DAMAC Properties, which is headquartered in Dubai.

Per The National, DAMAC Properties agreed with The Trump Organization in May 2013 on a plan to operate a Trump International Golf Course in Dubailand.

The company that has developed his golf club has defended him though.

Niall McLoughlin, a senior vice president at Damac Properties said:

“We would like to stress that our agreement is with the Trump Organization as one of the premium golf course operators in the world and as such we would not comment further on Mr Trump’s personal or political agenda, nor comment on the internal American political debate scene.”

Trump also said on Monday that if action wasn’t taken soon, it would come around to get the U.S. “You’re going to have more World Trade Centers,” he said. “We can be politically correct or we can be stupid, but it’s going to get worse and worse.”

It doesn’t appear that Trump realizes the position he is taking. He is failing to realize that the attacks made on America, both recently and in the more distant past, have not been from people of Islamic faith in general. They have come from the radicalization of the religion.

The position that he is taking, by suggesting that we deny all Muslims into the United States is very extreme in itself. It goes against just about everything that the United States was founded on.

Trump is being what America has been fighting for years, and will continue to fight. To assume all Muslims are terrorists is absolutely wrong. He truly is showing the highest form of bigotry with his statements.
