I don’t know how many baseball games I have been to in my life, but I know it is a large numnber between major league and minor league ballparks. I have yet to catch or snag a foul ball in the stands once, which is why I am always amazed at the stories about fans getting their hands on multiple foul balls or home run balls in a single game. Imagine my astonishment learning one Detroit Tigers fan catching FIVE foul balls at today’s Detroit Tigers game.
FIVE!
Fun fact: Bill Dugan, 39, of Roseville caught 5 fouls at today's @Tigers game, and it's only the 5th inning! @freep pic.twitter.com/J1DNc8kyek

And this story just gets a little better, because Dugan gave away each foul ball to a young Tigers fan, surely helping to make their day at the ballpark just a bit more memorable.

Considering how many times we have seen adults do the most childish things in the past when it comes to foul balls or baseballs tossed to the stands from a player, this hopefully sets us up for a year of paying it forward at ballparks across North America.
Remember baseball fans. Be like Bill, not like this lady…
… or this woman…
It is also OK to be like this young baseball fan…
