There isn’t a city in America more notorious for its terrible traffic than that of Los Angeles. For Dodgers outfielder Yasiel Puig it has been a source of punctuality issues throughout his career.

Apparently he’s turning over a new leaf in 2016, looking to get over those issues in a unique way. Instead of getting up earlier or leaving the house on time, Puig is simply bypassing traffic altogether — buying a helicopter to get him to Dodgers Stadium on time.

TMZ is reporting that Puig’s vehicle customizer, Alex Vega, is also assisting him in a search for the right helicopter to chauffeur him from home to Chavez Raven. In fact, Puig has been hinting at it himself through Instagram over the past few weeks:

Puig is set to make around $7.2 million this season alone and is scheduled to make over $8 and $9 million in 2017 and 2018. It’s hardly a wonder if he could afford the daily helicopter rides to work while in Los Angeles.

Vega apparently is along for the ride to help trick out the helicopter Puig decides to buy, hinting at some wheels for the chopper and other modifications to truly make the ride to work unique.

Such are the joys of a single life and millions of dollars in disposable income. At least he won’t have an excuse other than his own carelessness if he’s ever late to work in Los Angeles again.
