Detroit Tigers ace Justin Verlander may not have a World Series ring, but he made sure to give an even more valuable ring to Kate Upton. Unfortunately guys, that’s bad news for you, because she accepted the ring and officially went off the market.
That’s right, Verlander and Upton are now engaged, according to E! News. Upton showed off her new engagement ring while walking the red carpet at the 2016 Met Gala. It turns out, this engagement has been on for a little while now, as she explained.
“I’m really excited, he asked me right before season started so we’ve been keeping it on the down low for quite a while,” Upton told E! News. “So I’m excited to finally be able to share it with the world!”
There is no date for a wedding yet, although one would assume it may come at the end of the baseball season, especially if there is no rush for the newly engaged couple. So, maybe there’s still a chance for you to state your case for Upton to break things off with Verlander (or maybe convince Verlander to break things off with Upton). Until they officially tie the knot, there’s always a chance, unless they go for the short, short version. In fact, I would advise Verlander to get this guy to do just that as soon as possible.
