There’s been a lot of ways rival teams and fans have showed their appreciation for Kobe Bryant in what has been his farewell season. Typically, teams kept it to a video tribute while fans have shown up to arenas across the country in his jersey, whether it be No. 24 or No. 8.

The Lakers were in Oklahoma City Monday night, and one particular Thunder fan clearly took time to honor the Laker great by having a farewell masterpiece painted on his stomach.

The details of the painting are great. Obviously you have the “farewell” text, followed by Kobe’s Nike logo. The black mamba snake was done with very specific detail alongside Bryant who is doing his signature jersey popping and yell.

With something like this, there has to be questions. Namely, who did the painting? I think it would be pretty impressive if that guy did it himself, although that’s highly unlikely. You’d also want to know how he found somebody to do that for him, as well as how long it took. Looking at the details on the curvature of the snake, as well as in the folds of Bryant’s jersey and details in his arm and face, there’s no way that this was done swiftly.

The canvas of said painting isn’t necessarily ideal, but there’s no doubting that this fan’s tribute was a good one. Kobe’s career will come to a close on Wednesday night in Los Angeles when the Lakers take on the Utah Jazz. Wonder what stomach art we’re in store for in Kobe’s finale.
