Giants receiver Odell Beckham Jr. has been suspended one game for a series of questionable hits on Panthers cornerback Josh Norman, the NFL announced Monday.

Beckham will miss the Giants’ game against the Vikings on Sunday night.
The play that likely got Beckham suspended came in the third quarter Sunday, when the receiver launched head first into Norman’s helmet. According to Pro Football Talk, the NFL’s offices believe Beckham should have been ejected from the game following the hit.
Beckham and Norman sparred throughout Sunday’s game, with the receiver the apparent instigator more often than not.

After the game, Norman called Beckham a b— and compared him to the Batman villain Two-Face.
Beckham’s suspension will hurt the 6-8 Giants, who stand tied with the Eagles, one game back of the 7-7 Redskins in the NFC East. New York finishes the season against Minnesota and Philadelphia, two fellow playoff contenders.
Beckham is third in the NFL in receiving yards (1,396) and tied for the league lead in touchdown catches (13).
According to ESPN’s Kevin Negandhi, Beckham is the first offensive player ever suspended by the NFL for a helmet-to-helmet hit.
