Once again The Joker has come to crash Batman’s party.

Six Flags Great Adventure, in Jackson, New Jersey, will add a ride named after The Joker to its stable of superhero-themed rides. The park already features Batman: The Ride, The Dark Knight Coaster, Superman: Ultimate Flight and Green Lantern.

The Joker will of course be the first supervillain to earn a roller coaster named after him at the park.

Here’s what to expect from the new ride, which will be unveiled this spring, via NJ.com:

In September, the theme park announced that in 2016 it would unveil its 14thcoaster, a 4-D, free-fly coaster that will lift riders straight up a 12-story, 90-degree hill before flipping them head-over-heels at least six times along a weightless journey.

The Joker’s design features include:

  • Massive, imposing, floating and twisting I-box track frame in a unique two-tone design.
  • One-of-a-kind onboard magnetic technology featuring smooth head-over-heels free-fly flips providing guests the feeling of weightlessness as they soar outside the confines of a traditional track.
  • 4-D wing vehicles that seat up to 8 per vehicle with a total of 5 vehicles.
  • Face-off seats that allow riders to face each other as they tumble head over heels.
  • A 120-foot-tall, 90-degree hill that is ascended by an elevator-style, chain link lift
  • Two beyond 90-degree “raven” drops giving the sensation of free-falling.

When the ride was announced in September, the plan was to call it Total Mayhem, but park officials announced Wednesday that it would be renamed The Joker, because Total Mayhem is a horrible name for anything. Giving due to arguably the greatest villain in history feels like the right move. Most of what makes The Joker so terrifying on screen or in print — his charisma, brashness, courage and unpredictability — should translate to a ride, and the name advances the superhero theme Six Flags parks across the country have embraced.

Plus, who better to represent a theme park than someone who made famous the phrase, “Why so serious?”
