The Broncos and Patriots are talking trash, the Blackhawks haven’t lost since 2015, Lane Kiffin could be joining Chip Kelly in San Francisco, and season seven of Archer has a premiere date. That and much more here at the Wednesday Cheat Sheet. Giddy up…

OMG The Broncos and Patriots are saying mean things about each other leading up to the Prom AFC Championship Game

Tuesday morning on SportsCenter, Denver Broncos cornerback Chris Harris was asked about how to defend Rob Gronkowski in preparation for the AFC Championship Game on Sunday.

You gotta hit him low, man — hit him in his knees,” Harris told ESPN. “That’s the best chance you have of hitting him. You’ve got to attack him like any other man. You just come take his legs out or hold on and wait for everybody, wait for the gang to come on and gang tackle him.”

Welp, Gronk responded on Twitter, in very Gronk fashion:

Take that tweet how you’d like, but it’s surprising (and probably a bit questionable) that the Broncos actually retweeted it, and followed up with these two tweets:

Keep in mind that Gronk also suffered a knee injury in the final three minutes against the Broncos in November. The Patriots were leading 21-17 and driving when he got hurt, and the Broncos went on to come back and win.

And then we had Broncos defensive end Antonio Smith saying Tom Brady is a crybaby.

According to The Gazette, which is based in Colorado Springs (the article also appeared in the Boston Herald), Smith was asked if Tom Brady is a crybaby. His response?

“That would be an accurate statement. I’ve never seen any quarterback look to the referee right after he gets sacked more than Brady,” Smith said, per The Gazette. “Every time he gets sacked he looks at the ref like, ‘You see him sack me? Was that supposed to happen? He did it a little hard. Please throw a 15-yard penalty on him. Get him fined.'”

The New York Daily News responded… by making this very creepy, chest and belly-haired, “CryBrady” for Wednesday’s sports back page:

This weekend’s games just need to get here already. And then we’ll have two weeks of this nonsense for the Super Bowl!

Blackhawks win franchise-record 12th straight game; Patrick Kane ties his career-high for goals scored in a season

The Chicago Blackhawks have still not lost a game in 2016. Really. They beat the Nashville Predators 4-1 on Tuesday night for their 12th consecutive win (they last lost December 27th), a franchise record.

Pretty scary stuff given the Blackhawks are the defending champs and have won three of the last six Stanley Cups. And what’s especially scary is how good Patrick Kane is right now.

That was his NHL-leading 30th goal of the season (he also leads the league in assists and points)… already tying his career-high in goals scored in a season (scored 30 in 2009-2010). There are still 33 Blackhawks games to go. Barring injury, Kane looks like he’s going to add a Hart Trophy to his many career achievements (like three Stanley Cups and a Conn Smythe trophy).
