The United States has been partnering with Israel in an increasingly escalatory conflict with Iran in the Middle East. Domestically, many are calling for U.S. President Donald Trump to end military operations, especially as the prices of fuel and other essential goods skyrocket.
It’s a time when the U.S. needs its leadership, past and present, to act in the best interest of the country. However, some of the most prominent figures in politics, such as former President Bill Clinton, appear more concerned with the NCAA men’s and women’s basketball championships.
“Once again, the best college hoops teams prove there’s nothing like March Madness to get our jaws dropping, our hearts racing, and our brackets busting. Congratulations to the Bruins and the Wolverines!” President Clinton tweeted.

People on social media were not happy with Clinton’s post.
“Bill, I dunno, im just spitballing here, but do you think March Madness basketball s**t is the best use of your posting topics right now? WEIGH IN LIKE YOU WERE A POTUS,” one person wrote on Twitter.
“With Donald Trump promising to ‘end an entire civilization’ in about 10 hours, former US presidents have begun to rise to the occasion and are now furiously commenting on college basketball,” someone else wrote sarcastically.
“Iran. Let me note for the record however that there’s no chance he has anything useful to say about Iran either,” another person wrote.
Hopefully, this country’s leadership steps up to the plate and navigates this crisis.
