In their last game, Clemson’s men’s basketball defeated ACC rival, Georgia Tech, 72-51. Brevin Galloway starred for the Tigers in that game, scoring 14 points with five assists. And as it turns out, thanks to an incredibly painful and unfortunate injury, Galloway is going to be sidelined for some of Clemson’s upcoming games.

In an Instagram story posted on Thursday, the Clemson guard explained that after going to lift weights, he came home and took a nap. Upon waking up, Galloway realized that there was a problem — a problem that he later explained in great (and graphic) detail.

First of all, it’s admirable that Galloway can laugh at this now.

As would be expected, college basketball fans had some notable reactions to Galloway’s unpleasant situation.

We’re not sure if the traditional method of ice for 20 minutes, then heat for 20 minutes would apply here. That could make things more awkward than they already are.

Also, we have to admire Galloway’s notion that he “will be back in a uniform shortly.” He’s been one of Clemson’s best players and helped lead the Tigers to first place in the ACC. So, we’re sure that all of his teammates will welcome him back.

That said, don’t rush back from this one, Brevin. Take as much time as you need until you feel no more pain in the area. Then, for good measure, take a few more days after that.
