Many around the college basketball world have been speculating and waiting for Bronny James, the son of Los Angeles Lakers star LeBron James to make his decision on where he will ultimately play college basketball next season. USC has been rumored to be the clear frontrunner to land him, and that speculation has only grown this week.

James was expected earlier this month to officially commit to the Trojans.

College basketball insider Trilly Donovan reported on Twitter earlier this month that James was expected to announce his commitment to USC on April 8.

That obviously hasn’t happened yet, but signs are certainly pointing that way.

James was seen earlier this week sitting with USC staff members at the Los Angeles Lakers Game 4 Playoffs matchup against the Memphis Grizzlies. A tweet from ESPN’s Angel Viscarra shows Bronny James sitting with USC Assistant Athletic Director Gavin Morris and USC football head coach Lincoln Riley.

This was not the end of Bronny’s involvement with USC this week. According to USC Multimedia Journalist Jacob Hare, Bronny was on campus at USC taking a tour of the campus on Wednesday.

The signs are all pointing to Bronny being a Trojan next season, and many around the college basketball world took to social media to discuss these signs.

If USC does ultimately get Bronny, he would be the third recruit in the 2023 recruiting class that the team has gotten inside the top 40 of ESPN’s recruiting rankings. That includes No. 1 ranked recruit Isaiah Collier.
