As many teams across the country are seeing their college basketball seasons officially come to a close, we’re undoubtedly going to start seeing an influx of players entering the transfer portal. And it looks like one of the game’s top scorers has done just that on Monday afternoon.

According to a report from college basketball insider Jeff Borzello of ESPN, Temple Owls star guard Damian Dunn has entered the transfer portal.

“Temple guard Damian Dunn has entered the transfer portal, per source. Averaged 15.3 points this season and 14.9 last season. 6-foot-5 from Kinston, N.C.,” Borzello said in a tweet on Monday afternoon.

This is not exactly a surprise after Temple announced that head coach Aaron McKie would not return to the team next season, but it’s still a major blow for the Owls.

Dunn has been one of the most consistent scoring guards in all of college basketball over the past two seasons and will undoubtedly be a highly-recruiting player out of the portal.

As a result, the college basketball world had plenty to say about it on Twitter on Monday.

Given how vital the transfer portal has been to the roster construction of some of college basketball’s top teams across the country, it’s safe to say that Dunn will be one of the most highly-recruited players in the country over the next several weeks.
