The NCAA tournament is well underway, and although there hasn’t been as much madness so far as we’ve become accustomed to in March, everyone’s bracket has taken some sort of tough loss heading into the tournament’s second weekend.
United States President Donald Trump is a rare exception, although that’s only because he hasn’t filled one out. Trump was asked by Fox News White House correspondent Peter Doocy if he’d filled out a bracket, and Trump admitted that he didn’t before joking about filling one out retroactively, according to Awful Announcing.
“I didn’t; I should have,” Trump answered. “Have there been upsets, a couple, right?”
“Too late now?” Doocy replied.
“A little bit late,” the 78-year-old president admitted. “I should give you one, but maybe backdate it, right?”
Fans reacted to the exchange on social media.
“His ex wives, and his current wife could tell you a lot about Trump cheating,” one fan wrote on Twitter.
“He cheats at EVERY thing else in his life, so why not,” another person added.
“Wouldn’t be the first thing he cheated on, and likely won’t be the last,” someone else added.
“Donald Trump cheating at sports is never a ‘joke,'” one person added.
Hopefully, the President is well aware that filling out a bracket this late would be in clear violation of the rules.
