Steph Curry knows a thing or two about being an NCAA Tournament Cinderella.
So when emerging tournament darling and Fairleigh Dickinson star Sean Moore posted that the two-time NBA MVP sent him and the team some cool apparel, it didn’t come as much of a surprise.
Moore posted the bounty that Curry sent in a story update on his Instagram account.
Steph Curry broke into the basketball airspace when he and his Davidson Wildcats made a remarkable run in 2008. Curry dazzled and helped lead the Wildcats all the way to the Elite Eight, defeating Gonzaga, Georgetown, and Wisconsin. They narrowly lost to Kansas, coming close to a Final Four bid. Curry was a huge reason why as he put up prolific shooting performances that served as a precursor for what would happen to him in the NBA.
Curry has gone on to become one of the best basketball players of all-time. He’s won two NBA MVPs, four NBA Championships, and a Finals MVP. He’s widely regarded as the greatest shooter of all-time for his deft three-point prowess.
Moore and the rest of FDU hope that the ride isn’t over. The NCAA Tournament Cinderella became the second 16 seed ever to defeat a No. 1 seed went hey knocked off Zach Edey and Purdue on Friday. They’ll play FAU with an unprecedented trip to the Sweet 16 on the line later Sunday night.
