In an NCAA Tournament that has seen high seeds fall in huge upsets and other teams squeak by in close games, the UConn Huskies have stomped through the field like Godzilla on the loose in New York.

The Huskies made the Gonzaga Bulldogs their latest victim, winning 82-54 in a game that was essentially over when UConn took a 23-point lead less than six minutes into the second half.

Perhaps TBS Sports play-by-play announcer Kevin Harlan summed it up best.

“This was a complete demolition,” Harlan said in the closing seconds.

This performance by head coach Dan Hurley’s team was just the latest awe-inspiring tournament performance by UConn. In four games, against Iona, Saint Mary’s, Arkansas and now Gonzaga, the Huskies have an average winning margin of 22.5 points.

“Just kind of got back to the team we were earlier in the season,” Hurley told TBS Sports’ Allie LaForce after the game.

Many fans think the Huskies are on track for the most dominating run in NCAA Tournament history (of course, everything hinges on them winning their next two games).
