Crashed Cybertruck Crashed Cybertruck

Brutal news struck the basketball community on Thursday afternoon. Five-star recruit and University of Southern California commit Alijah Arenas was put into a medically induced coma after suffering an accident while driving a Cybertruck.

Five-star prospect and USC commit Alijah Arenas was involved in a serious car crash early Thursday morning, hospitalized and placed into an induced coma, sources tell ESPN. Arenas, 18, is the son of former NBA star Gilbert Arenas,” reported ESPN’s lead NBA insider Shams Charania.

It didn’t take long for more news to arrive on the situation, including exactly why Arenas was induced into a coma.

“ALIJAH ARENAS UPDATE: Arenas was in an accident driving a Cyber Truck. It caught on fire, and he inhaled a lot of smoke. According to sources, this was the reason for induced coma (protocol for smoke inhalation). Arenas suffered no major bodily injuries,” Tarek Fattal reported as a follow-up.

Hopefully, Arenas returns to full health as quickly as possible and is able to get back to the game he loves and achieve his dream of playing in the NBA like his father.

As horrible a situation as this is for the Arenas family, it may also have drastic consequences (although not fatal) for tech billionaire Elon Musk. Musk is under a lot of fire in the public eye for his role in the Trump administration.

Musk, who has led the new agency DOGE in eliminating what he deems to be superfluous parts of the government, has already had to deal with volatile price functions for his electric automobile company, Tesla.

With public unhappiness with the Trump administration continuing to rise, and now one of Musk’s cars being involved in such a public accident, Musk’s fall from grace could arrive faster than anyone anticipated.
