The ACC plans on honoring the three Virginia football players who were brutally murdered Sunday night by one of their former teammates.

According to North Carolina head coach Mack Brown, the conference teams plan to wear some kind of Virginia helmet stickers to honor the victims.

Brown also expressed his sorrow over this tragic incident.

“And when you think about it, what an awful thing for young people to leave us way too soon,” Brown said. “I mean I’m older, I’ve had a great life, I’ve been married, I’ve got children, I’ve got grandchildren, I’ve had a wonderful career. If something happened to me, I got it. We’re good. I’ve had a great life. But young people shouldn’t be taken away from us.”

This tragedy has rocked the college football world. As the Virginia football team continues to mourn, the school decided to cancel their game this upcoming weekend with Coastal Carolina.

As investigators continue to try to figure out why this tragic shooting took place. the two other Calvailer football players who were also shot, continue to fight for their lives.

Brown continued to talk about how devastating this loss is.

“We’ve got to help, in America, to keep these things from happening,” Brown said, “because this is useless to lose these young people. And our thoughts and prayers are sure with them as they all try to hang in there. I can’t imagine families having that call. As I said, when I got the text from our daughter who parks in that parking garage every day, I thought about losing her. And losing our grandkids. And when I was talking to them team, I said, ‘You know what, I relate this to you guys. Because I don’t want to be in a position where we lose one of you.’
