It’s no secret to anybody who has watched college football or followed the NFL Draft over the past few years that the Alabama Crimson Tide have produced more first-round picks in recent years than any other program in the country, but the actual numbers show just how far ahead Alabama is from everyone else.

As Chris Fallica of ESPN points out, heading into the 2023 NFL Draft, Alabama had produced almost twice as many first-round picks as any other program.

“Alabama has had 40 players selected in the 1st round since 2010. That’s nearly double the amount of players than the next closest school – Ohio State 21. In addition, Alabama has had 63 players taken in the first two rounds in that span, that’s 28 more than any other school…” Fallica said in a tweet on Thursday afternoon.

Fallica shared a follow-up tweet that further illustrates Alabama’s dominance.

“In the last seven years, 723 players have been selected on days 1 and 2 of the NFL Draft. 92 of them (12.7%) have come from two schools – Alabama (49) and Ohio State (43). LSU is next with 29…” Fallica said.

It’s absolutely wild, and the college football world had plenty to say about Alabama’s dominance.

We’ll have to see how long Saban and Alabama can maintain this level of dominance.
