Former Alabama wide receiver Tyler Harrell announced his transfer destination and he is going back to the ACC to join the Miami Hurricanes.
Harrell transferred from Louisville to Alabama last year but didn’t see much action last year some say because of injuries and other issues. Harrell was a three-star wide receiver coming out of Miami but he decided to go to Louisville where he became a star wideout.
In 2021, Harrell went for over 500 yards and averaged north of 29 yards per reception that year for the Cardinals.

He was expected to be a downfield threat for Alabama last year but that never materialized for him. He only caught two passes for 18 yards.
What also hurt Harrell’s chances was the emergence of Georgia transfer Jermaine Burton and Ja’Corey Brooks, both becoming a huge part of the offense, especially towards the end of the season.
Both are expected to lead a talented group of Tide receivers who struggled somewhat last season and clearly Harrell saw the handwriting on the wall that with the Tide adding even more talented receivers from this upcoming freshman class, it may be time to move on.
Harrell now can be closer to home and maybe become a valuable part of this Hurricane offense.
