Oregon Ducks star quarterback Bo Nix has played a lot of football throughout his college career, starting four whole seasons across his career with the Ducks and the Auburn Tigers. But throughout his four-year career, he has never had a 1,000-yard receiver. But he thinks that could change this year.

During a recent press conference, Bo Nix was asked about the fact that he has not had a 1,000-yard receiver throughout his career, and he made it clear that he thinks one of his teammates could do that this season.

“I think they’re all capable,” Bo Nix said according to On3. “I don’t think that’s the question, I think they’re all capable, I think they’re all ready for their opportunity. It’s just going to come down to, I think, situational football and which guy gets the targets and which guy gets the explosive plays and the YAC.”

Nix thinks it will simply come down to who gets the chances and who makes the most of those opportunities.

“So, it’s going to be situationally, who gets those opportunities?” Nix said. “Who makes the most out of them? And how can we get those guys the ball and make opportunities for them? Get them open, throw them open, call plays for them, and get the ball to the hot hand, you know? That’s a basketball saying, but it plays a lot in football too. I think some of those backs out of the backfield have a lot of completions too. So, I think it’s just using everybody and one of them will probably do it.”

We’ll have to see if a player can do it this year.
