All eyes will be on this Saturday’s matchup between the Oregon Ducks and Colorado Buffaloes.
Deion Sanders leads his undefeated team into Eugene, as the Buffaloes have shocked the football world with their performance so far this year. They enter Saturday’s game as 21-point underdogs as they’ll be without two-way star Travis Hunter against the No. 10 team in the country, led by Bo Nix, one of the better quarterbacks in the country.
Following the team’s 55-10 win over Hawaii last Saturday, Nix delivered a message to Sanders, whom he actually has a prior relationship with.
“Coach Prime and I go back,” Nix said. “He was my coach at the Under Armour game. I know him. I know how fierce of a competitor he is. He does a good job of being a leader and being a coach. He has his team ready to play.”
That he does.
Nix also talked about the job that he’s seen his former coach do in Boulder and like the rest of the college football world, he’s taken notice.
“It’s awesome. I don’t know if I’ve ever seen it happen before,” Nix said via On3. “A complete turnaround of a program, that’s really hard to do in college football, especially in today’s day and age.”
While Nix has high praise for Sanders and that mutual respect won’t go out the window come this afternoon, he and the Ducks will be looking to deliver the Buffaloes the first loss of the Sanders era.
