The Oregon Ducks opened the 2022 season getting beaten down by the Georgia Bulldogs, 49-3. In that game, Oregon quarterback Bo Nix had a terrible performance, turning the ball over three times, all of which led to Georgia points.
Now, the Ducks quarterback has said that if given another chance, he believes his team would take care of business against the Dawgs.
In an interview with CBS Sports’ Dennis Dodd, Nix made a very bold proclamation that could possibly come back to haunt him.
The revival of Bo Nix. So much so that @oregonfootball's qb thinks the Ducks could beat @GeorgiaFootball today. https://t.co/BZQl70C8OK

“Now, if we played them again tomorrow, the game would be completely different, and everybody knows that,” said Nix.
Dodd wanted Nix to clarify his statement so he asked again and Nix did not back down. In fact, he doubled down.
“I do,” the Nix said. “From the first game of the season, a lot of teams get so much better.”
Since that loss to Georgia, Oregon has gone on a six-game winning streak and now finds themselves in contention for not only the Pac-12 title but a possible bid to the College Football Playoff. If they were to make it, it’s entirely possible that Nix will get his wish to prove that he’s right.
The former Auburn Tigers QB is also having one of the best seasons of his career. Nix has thrown for over 1,800 yards and 17 touchdowns on the season so far.
