The Twitterverse can be absolutely brutal sometimes.
Ohio State Buckeyes fans found that out Sunday after a classic photo from a 2021 game got trolled with maximum intensity.
It all started innocently enough. The PFF College Twitter account posted a classic photo from a 2021 game showing an incredibly talented group of players on the sidelines. The photo features quarterback C.J. Stroud talking with wide receivers Marvin Harrison Jr., Garrett Wilson, Jaxon Smith-Njigba and Chris Olave.
Stroud was a Heisman Trophy finalist this year and has been billed as a future NFL star. Wilson and Olave were NFL rookies this season who showed flashes of brilliance, Harrison Jr. has been hailed as one of the best NFL receiving prospects in years, and Smith-Njigba had more than 1,600 receiving yards in 2021 before an injury derailed him in 2022.
PFF captioned the photo “Caption this, @OhioStateFB fans.” They probably expected comments like “Wow, what a talented group,” etc.

Instead, they got Ohio State haters trolling.
“Hands down best receiver group to never win a playoff game,” tweeted SEC Outsider.
“Allow me a Michigan fan to do the honor. CJ STROUD HAD ALL OF THEM AND STILL COULD NOT BEAT MICHIGAN,” tweeted a Michigan fan.
