College GameDay has made their choice of venue for next Saturday. The ESPN staple is heading to Austin, Texas for the second time this season. This time around, it’s for the matchup between the Texas Longhorns and the undefeated TCU Horned Frogs.

College GameDay was in Austin in Week 2 when the Longhorns played the Alabama Crimson Tide. This is important to note not just to point out that it’s the second time they’ve gone to Austin this season, but also because of who was snubbed.
The Tulane Green Wave has been one of the shinier examples of Group of 5 football this year. The 7-1 Green Wave are unbeaten in AAC play thus far, on the heels of a 27-13 win over Tulsa on Saturday. They play the UCF Knights this week and considering they earned a win over Memphis, it’s highly likely the Tulane-UCF match will be a Top 25 matchup.
But that was ultimately not enough for GameDay to choose New Orleans over Austin. The show has gone to different locations this year already. Quite a few of them in fact and that trend would’ve continued if they went to NOLA. Alas, the Green Wave was snubbed.
Several took to Twitter to react to ESPN’s choice. It really depended on which side you were on:
Poor decision, already been in Austin once… Should have been at Tulane https://t.co/cmog2snQ2v
