An outrageous claim has been circulating the internet lately about the Colorado Buffaloes and head coach Deion Sanders. A story written by a reporter for Athlon Sports states that Colorado Buffaloes head coach Deion Sanders made his players attend a Lil Wayne concert last year to support his son and quarterback Shedeur Sanders. Sanders was performing a set that night during the concert.
Deion Sanders Jr. and several Buffs players and staff, including weight and conditioning coach Maurice Sims, have denied the claims in the story.

“You got a hard job,” Sanders Jr. says to Colorado strength guru Maurice Sims before he added. “How many people you had to punish for not going to the concert?”
“Bro, what is up with that,” Sims asked. “People are making up weird stuff.”
Sanders Jr. conducted his interview on his YouTube channel, which he called “Another Day, Another Lie Told About the CU Buffs.”
“How many people you had to run for not going to the concert,” Sanders Jr. again asked Sims.
“It was not mandatory to go to the concert,” Sims said. “Guys just wanted to be good teammates.
However, Sims added, “Did they even know that he was performing? I didn’t know.”
Since the season ended there have been several allegations levied by former Buffs players against this coaching staff, but his one had to be the wildest.
