Colorado Buffaloes head coach Deion Sanders has been one of the most polarizing figures in college football since the moment he stepped onto the sidelines as a coach. Sanders was set to enter his first season as a head coach without either of his sons, Shedeur and Shilo Sanders, under his tutelage.

However, it appears that Sanders has been forced to take some time away from the team and step away while he deals with what must be a serious illness.

Colorado football coach Deion Sanders has been ill and away from the team recently, a source confirmed to (Heather Dinich) on Tuesday,” ESPN reported.

Fans reacted to the shocking news on social media.

“He’s been watching Shedeur’s training camp highlights,” one fan wrote on Twitter, referencing Shedeur’s first offseason in the NFL after being drafted in the fifth round by the Cleveland Browns.

“Sending prayers and support to Deion Sanders, who has faced significant health challenges in 2022 and 2023 due to blood clot issues. Wishing him strength and a swift recovery,” someone else added.

“Prayers up to Coach Prime! He’s had circulation issues lately, and part of his foot had to be cut off. Hope he condition isn’t getting worse,” another person added.

Hopefully, Sanders makes a full recovery from whatever he has been dealing with.
