The rich get richer in Athens. The Georgia Bulldogs landed two wide receivers on Thursday through the transfer portal, and the second one is an All-Conference caliber player.

Missouri wideout Dominic Lovett will transfer to Georgia. Lovett enjoyed a great season in Columbia as he became an All-SEC First-Team selection after a productive 2022. So now, he’ll go from Columbia to Athens, where he hopes to have even more success.

On3 broke the news of Lovett’s transfer to the Bulldogs. They tweeted, “BREAKING Former Missouri WR Dominic Lovett has committed to Georgia.”

Lovett, a former four-star recruit, ranked eighth on On3’s transfer portal rankings. He was recognized as the third-best wide receiver available behind Travis Hunter and Ali Jennings, who transferred to Colorado and Virginia Tech respectively.

In 2022, Lovett caught 56 passes for 846 yards with three receiving touchdowns. And those numbers were up big from 2021, and the rising junior receiver might just be getting started.

Thus far, Lovett is the highest-rated SEC player to transfer according to On3’s rankings. The SEC hauled Devin Leary in from NC State, as the top-flight quarterback will play for Kentucky next season. Thus far though, there haven’t been too many notable maneuvers in the SEC.

Georgia accumulated a lot of talent on Thursday from their SEC foes. Not only did they land Dominic Lovett, but the Bulldogs also scored a receiver from Mississippi State. The talented RaRa Thomas announced his commitment to UGA on Thursday afternoon as well.

Between this, their recruiting classes, and their unbridled success this season, Georgia has a lot to be happy about.
