ESPN college commentator Paul Finebaum earlier this week said that the Georgia Bulldogs were the new Alabama, but if you take a look at the Dawgs play today against the Kent State Golden Flashes, you’d beg to differ.

The Golden Flashes are giving the No. 1 team in the nation all they can handle Saturday as they head into halftime leading 26-13. The Dawgs came into this game as 45-point favorites but they are struggling early.

The good news for the Dawgs is that tight end Brock Bowers is having a good day, but the rest of the team is having a so-so day which will not be pleasing to head coach Kirby Smart.

Heavy is the head that wears the crown the saying goes and it looks like the No. 1 crown is weighing down Georgia just a little bit this afternoon.

Of course, college football fans across the country are putting their two cents in on the Dawgs’ struggles.

Georgia did score just before the half to take some momentum into the second half and they will likely go on to win the game. But based on this performance from the Golden Flashes, you have to wonder if Kent State found a little chink in the Bulldogs’ armor.
