College football fans across the country are keeping an eye on the QB situation at Alabama. According to reports out of Tuscaloosa, the battle is between Ty Simpson and Jalen Milroe.
Both quarterbacks appear to be neck and neck so far in the race, with neither able to overcome the other. Alabama head coach Nick Saban appeared frustrated with the situation saying earlier this week that he wanted one of the quarterbacks to make the coaches play them.
Former Alabama quarterback and ESPN analyst Greg McElroy predicted who will start for the Tide this season, and it might shock a few.

McElroy seems to feel both quarterbacks will start this season.
“Barring something completely unforeseen, it will be Milroe probably to start the first game, Ty Simpson to come off the bench in the first game,” McElroy said. “Roll those 2 and figure out who plays best in that first game then you what you’ve got heading into Texas.”
McElroy said based on what he saw, that is what he expects to happen in the Tide’s first game against Middle Tennessee State on September 2nd.
McElroy also says that Dylan Lonergan has also been very impressive and turning heads in practice too and he expects maybe even him to see some action later in the season.
