College football head coaches, they’re just like us! They misspell homophones in their text.
The college football world got shaken up on Wednesday when Purdue head coach Jeff Brohm was announced as the new head coach of the Louisville Cardinals. Brohm returns to his alma mater to replace Scott Satterfield, who left to take the Cincinnati job last week.
Brohm led Purdue to its first-ever Big Ten Championship Game appearance this season and they have the chance to win nine wins in back-to-back seasons for the first time since 1998. It was surprising to many that he would leave his successful post at a growing Big Ten program for an ACC program that was on the skids, but given that Louisville was his alma mater, it made sense that he would want to go “home.”
However, when you leave one job, there is always the unfortunate need to tell your current players that you are leaving. Not every head coach has the common decency to do this, but Brohm did inform his Purdue players that he was leaving with a text. Alas, that text included a very human error that provided some comedy for the CFB world.

If he excepted the job, does that mean he's staying at Purdue? https://t.co/Zi4ZX1pEQs
