LSU Tigers star quarterback Jayden Daniels has transcended into the Heisman Trophy favorite this season with a number of unbelievable performances. A big reason for his success on the year stems from his star wide receiver Malik Nabers, who showed everyone why he is one of the best players in the country on Saturday with an unbelievable Catch of the Year candidate.

Daniels was excellent as usual in the game, showing off his ability as both a passer and a rusher. Perhaps his best moment came in the fourth quarter, where he threw up a jump ball to Nabers in the back of the endzone.

It was a great throw, but an even better catch from Nabers, going airborne over a Texas A&M defender to make the catch while keeping his balance to get one foot inbounds for the touchdown.

You’d be hard-pressed to find a catch much better from any other player this season. And fans were singing his praises after this unbelievable highlight.

Plays like this are exactly why Nabers is projected to be a future first-round pick in the upcoming 2024 NFL Draft. Some draft experts even project that he could sneak into the top 10 in the draft in April.

Regardless, Nabers is certainly hitting his stride down the stretch of this season. He finished this game with six receptions for 122 receiving yards and two touchdowns.

In his last nine games, Nabers has been held under 100 yards just once. And with catches like these, it sure seems like Nabers has the potential to be a stud at the NFL level in the near future.
