The Nebraska Cornhuskers and Colorado Buffaloes are not exactly a friendly rivalry. In fact, they hate each other, and it seems one Nebraska writer has a cure for taking down the Buffs: get rid of head coach Deion Sanders.
Husker Corner writer Oliver Vandervoort says that Coach Prime continues to embarrass his program and shows why the Cornhuskers need to run him out of Boulder.
“I can’t look away from the clown show he’s got going on in Boulder. They just can’t stop making it clear just how badly the Huskers need to win this fall. The Huskers must triumph over “Coach Prime” and the Colorado Buffaloes, not just for their own sake, but for the future of college football. Sanders’ tenure has been a circus, and it’s time for the show to end. Despite the hype, there’s no evidence he’s beneficial for CU. His only achievement as an FBS coach is attracting the wrong kind of attention,” he said.
Vandervoort is not the first person to drag Sanders and his family, but it sounds more personal for him.
“It’s not just Deion that needs to depart. The entire Sanders clan, with their disruptive presence, needs to be removed. It’s time to clean house, and a defeat to the Cornhuskers could be the catalyst for their exit.”
The Cornhuskers had a chance to defeat the Buffs last season but fell 36-14. The teams will face off again on September 7, this time in Nebraska, but it may not matter anyway because the Buffs are expected to be improved from last year, which may prolong Sanders’s stay in Boulder.
