In early December, Oklahoma quarterback Nick Evers announced he was entering the transfer portal, saying that he wanted to find a place where he can “showcase my ability.” It appears that Wisconsin is that place.
Per On3’s Hayes Fawcett, Evers has committed to play for the Wisconsin Badgers next season.

“I’m ready to get to Wisconsin and help build something special,” Evers said.
The Flower Mound High School quarterback was rated the No. 172 overall prospect in the Class of 2022 by 247. They also rated him the No. 9 QB in the country. He played in one game this season as a freshman for Oklahoma, and threw only one pass, toward the end of Oklahoma’s 49-0 loss to the Texas Longhorns. Evers has four years of eligibility remaining.
Evers originally committed to Florida before flipping to the Sooners as a member of the 2022 class.
Evers head to Wisconsin as head coach Luke Fickell takes over the program. He’ll compete against three-star quarterback Cole LaCrue who committed in the 2023 class, as well as freshman Myles Burkett, for the starting quarterback role.
The Sooners have gotten pretty used to seeing their highly touted quarterback recruits leave. Last year, Oklahoma saw Spencer Rattler and Caleb Williams transfer out of the program.
