Former Ohio State Buckeyes football players Jahsen Wint and Amir Riep faced a jury this week after they were accused of raping a 19-year-old woman at an apartment back in 2020. And after deliberations, the two players were found not guilty of the charges by a Franklin County jury on Thursday morning, according to the Columbus Dispatch.

The decision comes after Riep and another former Ohio State football player testified on Wednesday that the team’s players were told to get evidence of consent from any potential sexual partner in order to protect themselves from accusations.

During the encounter, Riep took a cellphone video of the alleged victim which shows the woman crying and agreeing with him when he asked her if the encounter was consensual. The defense team played the video during the trial and it turned out to be one of the key pieces of evidence.

The two players have not played for the Buckeyes since the accusations as Ohio State head coach Ryan Day dismissed both of them from the program when they were charged back in 2020.
