Oregon Ducks quarterback Bo Nix is widely regarded as one of the best quarterbacks in all of college football. But as it turns out, he is also an incredible punter, showing off his kicking skills with a spectacular pooch punt on Saturday against Washington State.

Nix and company were on the Washington State 40-yard line facing a fourth-and-10. Oregon head coach Dan Lanning kept the offense out on the field, bluffing that they were going to go for it on fourth down.

Instead, Lanning called on Nix to attempt to punt the ball. And it ended up being a terrific decision, as a wobbly punt from Nix rolled all the way down to the WSU three-yard line.

You won’t see a punt much better than this from anyone, especially not from a starting quarterback. Fans took notice of Nix’s unbelievable effort and praised him on social media.

Truth be told, it wasn’t the prettiest punt of all time. But it certainly did the job, and it’s extremely impressive considering Nix obviously isn’t too familiar with punting.

Plays like this certainly show the value of a player like Nix, who is obviously also one of the best pure passers in all of college football.

Nix has the sixth-best passer rating in all of Division 1 college football, and it now seems like he can be called upon to punt in a pinch.
