ESPN’s Paul Finebaum is at it again.

Finebaum is on the warpath, this time against Lincoln Riley. He called out the Trojans’ head coach last week and said the handwriting is on the wall for Riley.

“I mean, I think it’s over for Lincoln Riley, anyway. To me, he’s lost control. And once you lose control, you’re like in the middle of quicksand,” Finebaum added.

So who does Finebaum think would be perfect to replace Riley? How about Colorado Buffaloes head coach Deion Sanders, who, just a week ago, Finebaum dragged at SEC Media Days and called his program “irrelevant.”

“The answer after this season is Deion Sanders,” Finebaum said on ESPN’s First Take. “He’s going to be tired of Colorado because quite frankly, it’s not ‘prime time.’

“But you put [Coach] Prime in Tinseltown and I think you have one of the great combinations in history… Deion Sanders as the coach of Southern Cal is the answer to the problems… Deion Sanders exudes exactly what that community is about.

Finebaum may be right, Sanders may be more suited for the bright lights of Los Angeles than of Boulder, Colorado. But if Riley is fired, would Sanders want the gig? Would he even take it? And would USC really want him?

Sanders has said he wants to turn the Buffaloes around and he has no interest in taking an NFL job, so who knows what the future holds for Deion Sanders, Lincoln Riley, or the USC Trojans?
