Ole Miss Rebels head coach Lane Kiffin is widely regarded as one of the top recruiters in college football, and he showed Saturday he hasn’t lost his touch.

The Rebels have landed wide receiver Zakhari Franklin from the transfer portal. The former University of Texas-San Antonio star is a two-time All-Conference USA selection. Franklin reeled in 94 passes for 1,136 yards and 15 touchdowns last season.

Franklin announced his decision on his Twitter account.

The 6-foot-1 Franklin has one season of eligibility remaining.

Kiffin and Ole Miss beat out some serious competition in recruiting Franklin. Other schools believed to be in the running for his services were LSU, Colorado and Florida State.

College football fans seemed to think it’s a good move for both Franklin and Ole Miss.
