The South Carolina Gamecocks faced off against the No. 5 ranked Tennessee Volunteers on Saturday night and South Carolina quarterback Spencer Rattler was the star of the show.

The former Oklahoma Sooners star had a career day for the Gamecocks, finishing the game with 438 passing yards while completing 30 of 37 pass attempts along with a career-high six touchdown passes.

Rattler made a number of impressive throws on the day, leading to a big 63-38 victory to ruin the Volunteers’ hopes of potentially making the College Football Playoff this season.

Rattler was seemingly written off after leaving Oklahoma this past offseason, but he showed exactly why he was a Heisman candidate in 2021.

The college football world certainly took notice of his unreal day, praising him on social media.

Rattler came into Saturday’s game with just eight touchdown passes on the season, so to throw six in this matchup against an impressive team like Tennessee is absolutely wild.

Rattler shockingly outperformed Tennessee star quarterback Hendon Hooker throughout the game, who ended up leaving the game early with an extremely unfortunate knee injury in the fourth quarter.

Teams such as LSU and USC are likely extremely happy to see Rattler’s dominant performance, as they will jump Tennessee in the rankings as we get closer to the College Football Playoff final standings.

Considering all that Spencer Rattler has been through in his college career, you have to feel happy for him finally playing up to his potential in a huge way on Saturday.
